CAKE

I er...went into the kitchen to wash up at 1am. I knew this was a bad idea.

And then I got peckish.

And baked.

I never bake.

So now there are chocolate cakes (not nearly enough), and the whole damn house smells of chocolate cakey goodness. I kinda forgot how good baking makes me feel. And how delicious hot, freshly made cakes are.

And incidentally, I've got absolutely no washing up done.

*makes you all hungry for cake at 2am, because that's just how she rolls*

Premade dough totally counts! There's loads of it in the cupboard, but I reckon I don't get messy enough doing it :D

My mix is like...I weigh the eggs, then weigh the same amount of flour, sugar and butter, then mix the latter together, add salt and baking powder, then add the eggs after. It's totally simple, and I made almost 40 cakes out of it starting with two eggs this time ^-^

It's the cooking part I usually have trouble with - either the oven's too hot or too cold; but I used the fan assisted oven this time and everything came out just right!

That poor kitty! But it's just so adorable, and the later ones have a really sweet message in them.

Your way of baking doesn't seem to bad! I just can't follow recipies, I read what it says, and I pour in the double or half.
With cooking you don't have to be as exact with the measurements so I usually do fine.

I should watch them too! ^^
