Bleach! (And Spring)

regasssaJust. ohemeffgee. There is so much wonderful about this chapter. And so much that made me tear up.
Ishida being both brave and ridiculously stupid at once - he prooved that he was better than Orihime in that he tried to intervene at all, but at the same time, Ulquiorra was about to be finished off by a Shinigami's zampukto, and therefore he would be released from his hollow form to return to soul society.
There's a certain part of me that feels for Ishida - it's a bit like he and Orihime are standing watching a cat play with a half dead mouse - it's limbs have all been torn off, but it's still alive and breathing - and he feels inclined to interefere somehow just so he doesn't have to say that he stood back and watched it when/if Ichigo returns to normal. Because that's what friends are for, right?
But at the same time I want to hug him. He gets run through and the man that he followed here to fight beside is about to finish him off with a Cero, the woman he came here to save doesn't even run to help him and instead sits there limply and tries to get Ichigo to stop with the power of her voice alone, and he has to be saved by the half dead Espada instead.
Which brings me to Ulquiorra. He's already admitted defeat, hasn't he? He could just lay back and let Ichigo finish them all off for all its going to do to save him, because there is no way Ichigo's not going to kill Ulquiorra now he's had his horn cut off, right? So why interfere?
Okay...rant over, actually. But I have introspective ideas now that are pummelling the inside of my brain.
Also, it is definitely spring. As well as carpets of flowers, the Magnolia, Plum and Cherry trees are all coming into blossom and everything is looking bright green and lovely. I'm thinking about fencing off the driveway temporarily during the winter this year to let my mare clear up the brambles - she'll eat anything, and she'll lawnmower her way through them in a way that wouldn't be possible by hand.
I think I'll go take some photos this afternoon before the rain comes back in over the weekend. It's just so gorgeous out there, it'd be a sin not to bask in it for a while.
