*total plug*
Jan. 11th, 2008 02:23 amOkay you lot, I totally admit it. I'm a lazy cow, and I haven't updated anything I ought to have, least of all my real website of workiness. But I'm about to show you why I've turned into the laziest person this side of Christmas. Yes, that's right - an explanation for my lack of updates, and my penchant for staying up until four am when I should really be sleeping the sleep of the dead.
So.
First of all, the eleventh of November gave seven puppies. We've found homes for four, but we're still trying to get places for the last three, and they will be getting very uncute soon. Hell...the pooping and the barking and the pulling out Mummy's fur is pretty uncute now, if I'm honest.
Here are some shamelessly cute pictures:
( PUPPIES! )
Now, part two of why I haven't been here is work. Any of you who have digital TV can find us on the Pick of the Week on Ideal World starting on the 13th and running to the 19th of January. Yes, that's right. *watches you all run for your TV remotes*
Part three is Christmas. Christmas was good - I bought my sister a Radio Controlled Dalek, which is just the most awesome present ever...if it wasn't for buying myself the entire series of Red Dwarf on DVD, and a whole pile of toys, too. I. Have. Mr. FLIBBLE. OMFG! He will never leave my side.
Part four is Equine-Ranch. I know I haven't mentioned this at all before, but I play a *coughonlinesimgame*. Only not something as reasonable to announce as the Neverwinter Nights games, or Star Trek, or Star Wars. No, I play a horse breeding and genetics game. It's really interesting, actually. Here's the link: http://www.equine-ranch.com . I'm Obi Wan Kenobi on there, and I run Temple Horses. No, it's not as lame as it sounds. XD. I'm actually a quite reasonable racehorse breeder
And finally, my biggest sin of all is DEFINITELY Road_Ahead.
We've been going for a couple of months now. I was absolutely blessed with the character I got, because Angie told me about it and I signed up early. I got lucky, because I'm actually playing Draco. Fyes! Draco bloody Malfoy. And why did I take him on? Because I was determined to like him as a character.
And I'll tell you what - I used to hate Draco. But now I absolutely love him. My Draco that is. My precious pretty boy. The PB I chose for him was perfect, as far as I'm concerned. You probably know him as Jesse McCartney.
Draco has been put on probation under the Senior Undersecretary - Kingsley called in an old friend to take the job, Andromeda Black - his aunt. Since then he's been undertaking various methods of finding out who he is, since until now he's just been the Malfoy heir. Andromeda has made him learn about Muggles before making assumptions, and Draco has done as he's told. While searching for material, he bumped into Hermione, and they came to an arrangement, in which he tells her things she doesn't understand about his world in return for information that he could not get from anywhere else.
Draco's even playing Quidditch and attending study groups, and he's left the home in which so many terrible things happened during the last few years. He's suffered, and he is very much behind in terms of schoolwork, perhaps even more so than those who were oblivious throughout the last two years to Voldemort's return. But he is still being an insufferable arsehole to anyone who gives him the time of day.
But check it - Hermione was just kidnapped by Fenrir. Awesome time to start watching, I say.
And to add - I also play Charlie Weasley. A bit of a contrast. He's come home, and he's not fitting in so well. It doesn't help that he's been away seven years, and he's never stayed so long before. On top of that, he's left his job permanently to get to know his brothers better - Fred's death has affected the entire family - and has taken up a new one in the Ministry, trying to get things changed in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. He's being played by Marc Blucas. Another awesome choice.
So - link: http://community.livejournal.com/road_ahead/ Don't delay. Start reading. Better than any fanfic. And Draco is yummy. *plug end*
