regasssaSo it's all over. Sectus has come and gone...and not so long ago we were all amazed that it was here!
There are so many things that I will forever recall; things that no doubt will not get an explanation until I come back (Friday, SeeMe, darling *kisskiss*) However, just to give you an idea of how wonderful a time we all had, let me extend my explanation a little:
. writing crackfic on the train - dude, you guys all rock, and I want to get hold of Harry Potter and the Crotch Monster if it's the last thing I do. Our version was much better - especially with Harry's...unnatural connection to his owl - guys, you know what we're talking about.
. taking photographs at Alnswick castle; not to mention having a great big HAWK perched on my arm! Socool. I will never forget throttling the Gryffindor teddy, and having ten wands pointed at me. Oh what fun.
. the play. I don't think this needs much of an explanation, but just in case you want it, being in the opening play was the most frightening, liberating thing that I've done in my life. Introducing everyone to the Deathly Hallows was just -fantastic-. And now you die, Voldemort, for all your crimes. Now die, you bloodless fiend; I smite thee - DIE! I still have the lamp, when I get home, it will stand beside my bed forever - I just wish I'd got everyone to sign it!
. the game. Truly, was there ANYTHING in the world better than the Sectus card game? Neville just -loves- his Mimbulus Mibletonia.
. Vanderark. The most amazing three and a half hours - an amazing speaker - truly gripping...and also, he complimented my map, which let's face it is just so neat! Speaking of the map. ^-^ It'll be up after I get home, I swear. (solemnly, that I am up to no good). Obviously a couple of corrections to make first, but thoroughly...wow.
. the auction. I. got. a. painting. of. Regulus. Snarry, Snilly, Snegulus T(hree)TP(s)
. finding someone who thought Ron would make an excellent Dark Lord. YES! Hah!
. Lethargy, and the battle against it. Seriously, you guys, that room could have put ANYONE to sleep.
. THE BOOK. Nuff said.
. The Yule Ball (Not) which was just the most FANTASTIC thing ever. There was folk dancing, photo taking, sexiness abound, slashiness and just general RAWR. You guys rawk.
. Talent. I've never been in a room with so much talent in my life. Close to 300 fanfic writers, artists, scholars, all with Harry Potter in their mind. Drabble/Drawble was the coolest thing ever; I just wish there'd been more time to do it!
. Meeting all you guys. I think it goes without saying that it was an absolutely amazing oppurtunity. I will -never- forget it!
Things I will be forgetting as soon as possible:
. being depressed without realising it was happening, simply by reading the last book. It was soul crushing, slowly but surely, and I know I wasn't the only one who got really short tempered with -everyone-.
. mutiny. If I'd known Phoenix team was a dead loss, I'd have appealed to be moved to another team, because it was something I was looking forward to most of all. I was sad to have to be a part of the team that forfeited; and if we were going to lose, then I wanted to lose in style. Half an hour...that's all I wanted.
. the woman from the taxi service not trusting me, and leaving me stranded in the middle of nowhere, with a huge pile of luggage. She was so -very- apologetic when my mum phoned up asking for the manager... I wonder why.
. spoilers. Although I wasn't spoiled; I know many people were, sheer carelessness on many people's behalves, but intentional in others. Seriously...
. carrying around all that stuff. N.e.v.e.r. A.g.a.i.n.
If anyone has ANY pics, knows of any press releases, or bits of film, and whether there's going to be a Sectus DVD (That would be so cool!), then PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I keep looking, but I don't think anyone's home yet.
And please, don't feel you have to ask permission to add me. I love you guys!
